Acclamations are vibrant in African culture. ‘Ubili ka nkwu’ (referring to the tallest tree) was my mum’s acclamation in my honour. This acclamation inspires us to strive for the greatest heights in all that we do.

      Not for the sanction of men...
      I do not ask

      I seek no throne, no eulogy
      I do not ask to be chosen, nor be served

      I ask this much...only to be myself
      To fulfil my own
      All else I do not ask
